Class projects

At my class last week we made some projects that incorporated a variety of techniques. The first was a card I taught recently to other demonstrators at our team training in Auckland. It focuses on using your punched card as a stencil to sponge through. It also has a ribbon feature at the top which was shown to us at the Convention in Australia. This is a great way to use up small scraps of ribbon. Take a 20cm length of ribbon and lay all your short pieces of scraps across this longer piece. Bring the two ends of the longer piece together and tie a knot around the scrap pieces. Then adhere the ends of the longer piece to your card. All the scrap pieces will hang down from the know in the middle. On my card below the black satin ribbon is the 20cm piece.

This second card uses a double embossing technique. First I made a cardboard template to go on top of my swiss dots embossing folder so that when I embossed the card, the middle section of the card would not have any dots. Then I used my framelits labels die upside down so instead of cutting a shape it embossed a shape into the card.
