Two Cards for Summer
My eldest son loves the summer as he gets time to indulge in his two favourite activites which are golf and heading off to the beach. So these cards were inspired by him. This surf's up card was one that I made for a summer themed team swap.

This golf card was made using the pennant parade stamp set, which I recently got as a freebee from Stampin' Up! Lucky me!

To make the golf ball, I used the mat pack and crop-o-dile. I attached a small square of white card to the plastic template (mat pack) using dotto repositionable glue to hold it in place. With the crop-o-dile set on A 1, I embossed all the holes in the small eyelet placement area. The mat pack is great to use for this as the plastic guide ensures that you don’t squeeze too hard and cut through the card and it also gives you an even and perfect placement of the “bumps”. The golf ball was then punched with a 1 ¼” circle punch and lightly sponged around the edges.

To make the golf tee, I used tangerine tango card and punched out an extra large oval. I used a post it note to stick to the oval so that I had something to hold onto as I reinserted it into the punch to punch out a bit from each side of the oval. Then I cut a small piece off the bottom with scissors. See picture below. The shape I was left with I attached to the golf ball. You can see the back view in the picture below. The front view is what you see on the completed card.
