Welcome to my first ever post on the World Wide Web.

I am so excited to have my web site up and running and I look forward to sharing my love of paper craft with you.

Punch Art with the owl punch
A few days ago I was playing around with my owl punch, wanting to get some more ideas for using it, beside the obvious. I came up with a fuchsia flower.

Let me know what you think.

To make the flower required a fair bit of double punching. This is when the punched shape is stuck on a post it note to give you something to hold on to as you reinsert the shape back into the punch to take a bit more off and alter the shape. I know you could just as easily cut the shape you want but it does not give the clear defined lines that punching gives. I found with double punching I could come up with lots of new shapes like this fish shape.

Moving on with the punch art trials, I made a few farm animals (photos will be posted soon.) The owl’s body is just great for creating animal heads! I have heard that someone has also made a hippo head. Maybe I will try that next.
