Masculine cards

Attention: open in a new window. E-mail

Friday, 16 March 2018

Over the next couple of weeks I will have a lot of masculine projects to show you. These are all the cards that I made to showcase at the recent demonstrator stamp camp that I taught at.
These first two are simple punch art cards.

And because the wording and style of the Truly Tailored Stamp set reminded me of Art Deco. I had a go at making a Art Deco inspired card.

Check in for some more projects next week.

Beautiful You

Thursday, 08 February 2018

This was the little gift card and shoe that we made for an extravaganza a month or so back.
I wanted to share it with you as it got lots of good comments.
The shoe is easy to make (I had a template from Ellen Hutson, which I adapted slightly and enlarged). It holds 3 wrapped chocolate or one of Stampin' Up's multipurpose adhesive glues.
The card uses the paper piecing technique to make the dress.

Cat Punch Art

Saturday, 21 October 2017

This was one of the cards that I taught at a recent Kids Holiday Class.
It uses the ovals framelits, two small circle punches and the blossom builder punch.

Here are the instructions:
Fold an Elegant Eggplant A5 card in half. Randomly stamp timeless texture grid stamp on background. Die cut and punch pieces you need as per photo below. Cut the smallest oval framelit from pink pirouette card. The other ovals are cut from pumpkin pie card. Dauber all pieces and stamp stripes on cat if desired. My stripes were made from a piece of cut off rubber. (See last photo).
Layer pieces together to create cat as per my finished card. Put long strings of baker's twine for the whiskers. Lay the long strings onto a small piece of exposed tape with equal amounts hanging on each side of the face. Add another piece tape on top of strings to secure. Add nose on top  of tape.
The sign measures 7.8cm x 3cm and the greeting is from the Lemon Zest stamp set.
